buys the Campa Cola from Pure Group

Reliance Retail of RIL will introduce the iconic soft drink by Diwali as part of Mukesh Ambani's FMCG push.

The domestic soft drink brand Campa was purchased from Delhi-based Pure Drinks Group by Reliance Industries, which announced its entry into the FMCG sector earlier this week.

In a deal valued at about Rs 22 crore, the RIL company, owned by billionaire Mukesh Ambani, has acquired Delhi-based Pure Drinks Group's iconic Campa soft drink brand.

Cola, lemon, and orange flavours will be distributed by the company through JioMart, Reliance Retail stores, and more than 15 lakh kiranas.

It's important to note that it controlled the Indian cola market for almost 20 years. These two enormous cola companies from the US entered the Indian market in the 1990s.

The purchase is a component of Reliance's strategy to enter the fast-moving consumer goods industry. Reliance is already in discussions with a number of manufacturers; once the agreements are signed, more information will be released.
