Maruti Q1 Results

Profit up 130% YoY at ₹1012.8 cr

Profit more than doubles to Rs 1,013 crore, while revenue increases by 51%.

Maruti reported net sales of Rs. 25,286.3 crore for the June quarter, a rise of 50.52 percent from the same time last year.

Maruti Suzuki India, the largest domestic automaker in India, released its April-June quarter (Q1FY23) results on July 27, 2022.

The manufacturer of passenger cars reported that its PAT increased 129.76% year over year to Rs. 1012.8 crore in the quarter ending in June from Rs. 441 crore in the same quarter the previous year.

In comparison to the same time last year, Maruti's net sales increased by 50.52 percent to Rs. 25,286.3 crore.

Operations' revenue for the quarter under review was Rs. 26,499.8 crore, a 49 percent YoY increase. Profit up 130% YoY at ₹1012.8 cr

Analysts predicted Maruti might announce revenue increase of up to 46% YoY and net profit growth of between 200 and 300 percent on a low base from the prior year.

During the quarter, the company sold 467,931 vehicles in total. According to a filing with the NSE, 398,494 units were sold on the domestic market.

A total of 353,614 units were sold by the company, comprising 308,095 units for the local market and 45,519 units for export.
