Bob Lee Stabbed to Death in San Francisco

Former CTO of Square and developer of the Cash App, Bob Lee, was fatally stabbed.

Bob Lee, the 43-year-old chief product officer of crypto startup MobileCoin Inc., has died. Bob Lee, the chief product officer at MobileCoin, was assassinated in San Francisco.

The San Francisco Police Department responded to a stabbing report near the 300 block of Main Street in SoMa at 2:35 a.m. on Tuesday. He was taken to the hospital but died as a result of his injuries.

Lee was fatally stabbed in San Francisco early Tuesday morning, according to the San Francisco Chronicle, citing unnamed sources and police.

In police's statement, the victim passed away from his injuries before getting to the hospital & the San Francisco Police have not made any arrests or disclosed the identities of any suspects.

Bob Lee, sometimes referred to as "Crazy Bob," invested in computer start-ups. His investments include SpaceX, Clubhouse, Tile, Figma, Faire, Orchid, Addressable, and others, according to his LinkedIn profile.

Bob was the ideal inventor, manager, and hacker, according to Goldbard. "Bob was designed for the new world," he added.

Jack Dorsey and Lee co-founded the financial technology business Square, which is now known as Block Inc. Lee served as Square's first chief technology officer.
